Michael's Belizean Birthday
As many of you know, yesterday, Michael reached the borderline age of 29! I call it borderline because I managed to ask him quite a few times what it feels like to approach 30. Unfortunately for me the question didn't phase him at all. Anyways, I think he had a great day.
At Scotiabank they got him out from behind his desk for a little surprise celebration in the afternoon. They got him a birthday basket with all sorts of goodies and celebrated with refreshments. He came home with a big smile. He was pleasantly surprised by his new coworkers.
My gift to Michael was an Israeli meal made from scratch. He loves all the dips and big surprise you can't get any of them here. I cooked all day and realized I enjoy my new hobby. My other gift to Michael is a private plane ride out to Caye Caulker. We're heading to the island tomorrow on a small three seater plane. It should be fun! We're finally going to hit the beach after being here for a month. A little sand, a little snorkeling and a whole lot of sun. We can't wait.
